Thermal and Climatic Tests

Laboratory climatic chambers are used to test temperature and humidity effects on products:

Within the temperature range of -40 to +180 °C
Within the climatic range of 10 to 95 % RH at +10°C to +95 °C
With temperature gradient of 4.0 K/min during heating; or 4.5 K/min during cooling
Constant and cyclic test progress
Optional independent direct temperature and humidity monitoring on the sample with recording directly in the real test flow chart

Corrosion Tests

Salt corrosion chambers offer testing by salt spray and performance of main corrosion comparison tests measuring real product properties against the required properties, usually defined by international standards.

Salt spray test temperature range up to +50 °C
Salt spray velocity – adjustable from 0.5 to 2.5 ml/80 cm²/hr

The salt chamber model meets the requirements for continual salt spray testing at a single, user adjustable temperature in compliance with ASTM B117, ČSN EN ISO 9227 and similar international standards. The test spray types include pH-neutral salt spray (NSS), acetic acid salt spray (ASS) or copper accelerated acetic acid salt spray (CASS).

Artificial Ageing with Xenon Lamp

This device generates up to twice the level of radiation compared to sunlight using radiation energy provided by a top-standard air-cooled xenon lamp. Irradiance is the speed at which the light energy strikes the tested samples.

The xenon chamber offers

Material Strength Tests

We perform tests of mechanical properties of materials, such as tensile, pressure and flexural properties:

Within the strength range of 4 N to 50 kN
Measurement of material strength
Three types of jaws for clamping of different sample types
Sample pre-tempering option in a thermal or climatic chamber
Real-time test recording

Material Properties

Hardness
Polymer hardness as one of their mechanical properties is not usually specified in practice but some polymer manufacturers provide hardness values for their products in the product data sheets. In the case of softer plastics and rubbers, hardness is measured by the Shore method.

Abrasion Resistance
Abrasion resistance is material property defining how well the product resists abrasion and wear and complies with the requirements of ČSN EN 13523-11 standard.

Resistance to Deformation
An instrument testing paint and powder coat resistance to cracking, tears, and peel off the metal base. The test is based on the principle of pressing a ball into the tested sample and evaluation of the resulting coat damage. The test shows the level of compliance with the requirements of DIN/ ISO 152, BS 3900 E4 and ČSN EN 13523-6 standard for adhesion after hollow test

Breaker
The peel adhesion test can be performed on the basis of ČSN EN ISO 4624 and ČSN EN ISO 16276-1 standards.

The test is based on the principle of gluing a test body onto the tested layer and the subsequent tearing the test body off the test surface. The evaluated parameter is peel strength, which is the force needed to overcome the bonding forces between the coat layers, between the coat and the substrate (adhesion) and within the coat layer (cohesion).
